Opinions of our clients
"It was a very good experience to buy in medir. The reeds have arrived in good timo and everything was ok. They work Wellington in my soprano shawm."
João
"Very professional company with excellent communication and consistent quality. The cane preparation and shaping are very precise, and the products arrive well finished and reliable. I especially appreciated the stability and consistency between pieces. Highly recommended for serious bassoon players and reed makers."
Chang
"Positive. And I recomend you for sure"
Jasna
"Easily ordered. Straight to the door quick turnaround!"
Allan
"I would buy more classical bassoon cane if the gouging was a tad thinner (1.25) and the hardness more consistent (between 14 and 18)"
Marc
"Communication was easy, and they shipped quickly."
Shannon
"I'm new to Irish piping and have decided to try and make my own reeds. I have to get a few other items, watch some videos and then give it a try. I haven't made a reed yet but am hopeful. Initially, when I reached out to Medir and put in an order, I wasn't fully aware how things worked. I had sent some emails to the wrong address and didn't get an answer and eventually discovered the correct way, i.e. use their contact us link on their site page. I received my package in short time and the reed material looks fine. I bought both 25/27 mm and 27/29 mm as was suggested to me by the piper from whom I took a class in reed-making and who suggested Medir to me as a reed source. Thank you."

These are great reeds! I am a professional clarinetist, and these are my favorite of all the brands. The cane is high-quality and very vibrant. Iuse strengths 3 1/2 in other brands, but for these reeds an equivalent strength is 3.
Dear Shannon, thank you for your kind words!
Excellent care…very consistent!!!!👍👍
